The Virtual Path Gantry Crane technology is an OEM product adaption of the Wheelift Transporter technology found at www.heavyagv.com. Heavy gantry crane trucks are essentially a multi axle, equalizing suspension, omni directional transporter, that is divided in half and separated by a rigidly attach gantry crane frame. These transporter type truck assemblies are a product offered exclusively to heavy crane builders world wide.
As Wheelift Systems, we are a unique Waverly, IA based operating group within the Doerfer Companies. The Doerfer Companies specialize in factory automation which includes several forms of automated materials handling. We have manufacturing plants in Waverly, IA, Moline, IL, Nashville, TN, and Greenville, SC. We have roughly 850-plus employee, of which over 250 of those are mechanical, electrical and controls engineers.
